WE'LL BE WATCHING.... AND YOU BETTER BE LOOKING TOO! PRA RACERS AND NON PRA RACERS,
I’m retiring the old beach cruiser for a golf cart so I can get from one end of the track to the other much quicker. So not only will you see one of us be watching for oil downs on the starting line, you will also see me making my way down the track after every smoky run and after any signs on dripped oil or sprayed oil at the at the start.
In addition during tech we will be yanking on oil breather lines to see if they are secure and will be checking for signs of oil spray in the engine compartment. You may also be asked to open your deck lid or engine cover while in the lanes. If your car is leaving an oil trail or has a puddle under it you will be asked to return to your pit and make any necessary repairs before being allowed back to the lanes.
If your car has signs of excessive oil smoke while on the line you may be asked to shut down, at which point you will be DQ.
And lastly we will be taking a survey during tech from each driver to get their opinion on oil containment pans. This poll will include PRA Racers and non PRA Racers. This is not a voting of should they be required or not. It’s just a survey! If we cant get to all of you durring tech we'll try to get you in the lanes...
