Just curious as to what prompted the changes and do the gates still open at 2pm Saturday?
Mike I believe it was a number of things. Including but not limited to; Allowing for an actual lunch break, Completing the event on schedule(which cuts out some of the overtime paid to the track employees), having more spectators in the stands during eliminations, and it should also allow the PRA Classes more time in their pits to make any adjustment and or repairs before eliminations.
I will be talking to Steve tomorrow the 29th, and I will ask him about the gate opening. I would guess it's not changing as the Bugorama crew is usually prepping the car show area, pits, swap area, and preparing their staff for the event. And this is taking place sometimes up to the time when the gates open.

I have only been at a hand full of PRA races and in no way do I know how to run a drag race, but I have raced in over 100+ go-cart races over my years so……. I am going to throughout an idea for one day events….. to save sometime? If you tech the cars by class Pro mod,S/S, S/C, S/G and so on it will put some responsibly on the drivers to be at teck in their class line on time, after one class is finished passing through teck about ½ hour later they should be called to the staging lanes, so in theory say S/G is finishing there last car in teck pro mod and S/S should be in the staging lanes ready to go……. And S/C are called to the lanes, yes there will be a car late to teck for some reason?? But they go to their teck lane and they will be tecked as soon as they can get to them, so they don’t miss first round, if you have repeat offenders coming late all the time they just may need to miss first round at a race to make a point stop coming to teck late…….. You will need some room to do this Fontana has the room to try this??? Just a though, it worked well in Go-carts not to say it would work in a PRA race :?:

Not with my teammates, :roll: I would wake up with my tent on top of Steve toy hauler roof and that first step out of the tent would be a big one :shock:......LOL

A time table is good but I would to hate to put teck on a time line ? Maybe calling the class is to teck like you do when we go to staging lanes
I will think about more things that worked well in the go-cart world ………
