Albuquerque guys are coming with at least 2 cars, can't afford to not show up to a pay-out that is not dependent on car count.

1. OK Q-16 is a 16 car field. But what size is the field for Outlaw, Index & Pro ET ?
2. What is the second place payouts for the above classes ?
3. Is the Index class all three combind, 11.90, 12.90, 13.90 all running together, or is it three different index classes ?
4. I asume the Q-16 & Pro ET will be a .5 light, 3 amber ?
5. I asume the NHRA Q-16 rules are on there web site ? I know there going to enforce the pan rule at Pomona. Is your event going to enforce the pan rule just for Q-16 or all of the classes or not enforce it this year ?
I am thinking about going to your event, need to get the questions answered please.

outlaw = 8 car field ~ Q-16 and all index classes = 16 car field ~ pro et and sportsman et = 32 car field
outlaw and all index classes = .4 pro tree
Q-16 and both ET classes will use standard .5 full tree
winner. . . . . runner up. . . . . semi. . . . . class
$2500.00. . . $1000.00. . . . .$400.00. . . .OUTLAW
$1000.00. . . $ 500.00. . . . .$200.00. . . .Q-16,Index,Pro ET
$ 500.00. . . $ 250.00. . . . .$100.00. . . .Sportsman ET
If the index calsses DO NOT have a full car field then I will combine them.
OUR Q-16 rules:
— SECTION 2 —
QUICK 16
Quick 16 is designed to showcase the 16 quickest cars at an event
that may not be eligible for any of the heads-up classes and
provides an alternative to standard E.T. bracket racing for these
competitors. A handicapped start, no-breakout format equalizes
competition among the 16 cars while preserving the “first one to
the finish line wins” concept. Here’s how it works.
• The class features a 16-car qualified field. Cars are qualified
based on e.t., from quickest to slowest. Vehicles must run 11.99
or quicker to be eligible for competition. (Non-qualifiers may move
to E.T. Brackets.)
• In the first round of Quick 16 eliminations, each pair of cars will
utilize a handicapped start; the handicap is based on each
competitor’s quickest qualifying time. This is similar to a “dial-in”
for bracket racing, except the dial-in is automatically determined
by qualifying time.
• There is no breakout at the finish line as in bracket racing. The
first car to cross the finish line wins the round.
• The dial-in is always based on the quickest run of the day. For
example, if the quickest qualifying time is 9.50, the first-round
dial-in is 9.50; if that racer wins the first round with a 9.45, the
second-round dial-in will be lowered to 9.45.
• First-round eliminations are based on a 16-car Sportsman ladder,
where the No. 1 qualifier competes against No. 9, No. 2 against
No. 10, and so on until No. 8 competes against No. 16.
• To avoid excessive sandbagging, any racer who runs .5-second
quicker than his or her quickest qualifying time will be
disqualified.
• Technical rules and regulations are the same as for E.T. Brackets,
based upon actual vehicle performance.
• Valid NHRA competition license mandatory for driver of
any vehicle running 9.99 or quicker. Any vehicle running faster than 135 mph MUST have a current chassis cert. no matter what ET run.
• ANY 4 cylinder powered Vehicle is eligible to compete in this class
• NO THROTTLE STOPS OR DELAY BOXES allowed

Thanks Jerry.
Jerry Spearn- 10-10-2007
Just a side note bcause of the discussion in regards to Vegas and Auto start. This event WILL NOT have auto start on !!!
I'm most likely going to be the starter during eliminations for all of the PRO ( .4th Lights) Classes
Monty Foster- 10-14-2007
Hey Jerry, so if the index class does not have a full field then is it possible to move to say Qiuk 16 instead of moving to a slower index class.
Jerry Spearn- 10-14-2007
what I am refering to Marty is that if the "index" classes are not full fields I will run them together IE 11.90 will still run on the 11.90 index just the car in the next lane may be on a 12.90 or 13.90 index. I honestly don't see this happening do to the response I have gotten so far. I already see 11.90 as a full feild (thanks Aircooled VW's) 12.90 and 13.90 may be a little short.
